Southern Charm

JSS · 22 September 2026

There's a southern charm where I come from
A kind of sadness in the hills
An empty church, a corner store
No jobs in the mill

There's just a school where you can't learn much
And nothing's quite what it seems
There's something real, but you're out of touch
All your dreams in a TV screen

The world moves on until what you love is gone
There ain't nothing you do
You flicker and fade
Live in a masquerade
Pretend you're not afraid of the day the world moves on

There's a charm in the harder stuff
A short lived freedom from the pain
But in the end, it's not enough
It only drives a man insane
